As of this Sunday, I will be deleting my facebook accounts.
There are many reasons but mainly I feel that I waste a lot of time flicking through nothing on facebook. Every time writing gets hard it seems that facebook provides the perfect mind numbing distraction.
Some friends have said just have some self control. But how can they talk they smoke. I have been telling myself for awhile that I need it to promote my music, but the truth is that most people don’t take notice on facebook. They have too many friends, too much information and most don’t even decline event invites, and those that accept, let alone choose to respond at all, never usually turn up.
On a personal note, facebook really does nothing for me socially, other than making me a little more distant and distracted when spending time with the people that are important to me.
Hopefully now with one less distraction, I will find more time to blog. I have also decided to keep my twitter account and might try my hand at some twitter poetry.
On a more serious note, I have been keeping up the fishing and today I caught a crab. No pots needed, just reeled him in, too bad he was undersize.
I have also added a mailing list so please sign up.
Now i’ll have to come here to get dates for shows I don’t attend anyway. I suppose I can make the effort.
Did you catch the crab on chicken?
Thats sort of the point, no longer will I spam people, unless they ask for it. Hence the mailing list.
No I caught the crab on mullet, which I caught in the cast net. DId however have some success with the chicken recently, got a Bream and a Fingermark.
